This week on Spark – Getting things done! Can you outsource your willpower? Is there a way to make a plan and stick to it? Also, designing civil discourse online, and learning to code. . . creatively!
I heard the latter part of this episode yesterday and was very intrigued. As someone who is teaching herself how to code and feels like it is a field where young people should at least have a basic understanding, Diana Kimball’s argument for coding to be taught in liberal arts programs struck a cord with me. I think that a lot of people think of the word”code” the way some people think of the word “math” – that is as something you must running away from screaming. Many people forget that coding is a language- one that you can manipulate like words or paint in order to make something new.
