Evernote for Digital Portfolios – Game on

At the beginning of the school year, Ms. Grade 11 History teacher sent in her goal – to create a digital scrapbook which students can add to, and share. She also wants to be able to quickly see their progress, which can be easily done if they share their notebook with her.  The last time we talked, she was going to go with Evernote.

Below is one teacher’s guide on how he used it to create a digital portfolios for his students. He was using Evernote to showcase the students’ own work, but Evernote also works as a very effective social bookmarking as well as annotating tool, with all the sharing capabilities of the great social media tools. Keep in mind, he was teaching grade five, but I think the same basic steps would apply…
