Social-Emotional App-tivities that Really Work

I know, I know. Another project that focuses on English class (though this one would be good for ERC as well, possibly.) However, there are several interesting aspects of this project described by Techchef4U:

  1. Adding a self-reflection component to the rubric. The students were studying Catcher in the Rye and had to take one of the themes of the book and relate it to themselves. I would highly recommend watching the examples given in the blog post- they are very poignant.
  2. The fact that this project was used for an exam. Johnson links to an article about the experience of including a digital presentation within a formal exam.
  3. The app the kids used! I am going to look it up as soon as I delete a lot of apps on my iPad. Apparently I am out of memory…
